Welcome to Pasadena!
Countless historical landmarks, lush parks and a spectacular mountain backdrop, are just a few reasons Pasadena is one of the most beautiful cities in Southern California. With plenty of activities even the locals can’t get enough of, the city is buzzing every day of the year. Pasadena has something for everyone from nature lovers to night owls to history hounds.
Despite its size, Pasadena has a small-town charm that can be found in its turn of the century craftsman homes, plentiful coffee shops and purple tree lights that sparkle down Green Street. Old Town Pasadena is a popular shopping district and a great place to eat, see a movie or enjoy a leisurely walk. Several of the restaurants have dog friendly patios and The Dog Bakery serves up special treats just for pooches.
Famous for the annual Rose Bowl football game and Tournament of Roses Parade, it’s no surprise the city’s official flower is the rose. A city rich with culture, Pasadena is home to several internationally recognized museums, art colleges, the Pasadena Playhouse and the Pasadena Symphony. If you stay long enough, you may also hear an entirely different kind of symphony courtesy of the brazen, non-native, Amazon parrot population that has called Pasadena home for more than fifty years.
The Arroyo Seco Natural Park on the most western side of town is a popular hiking and biking destination with plenty of other opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Dogs especially enjoy the Arroyo and are often seen trotting along with their owners around the Rose Bowl Stadium or neighboring Brookside Park. The three mile track around the Rose Bowl Stadium is one of the many areas Wigglewag visits on their dog walking excursions.
Wigglewag knows how important it is for pets to receive enough exercise. Regular activity keeps dogs both physically and mentally healthy. Walks also give the experienced staff at Wigglewag an opportunity to work on “loose-leash” walking and help your dog develop appropriate behavior with other pets and people.
Unlike most pet care agencies, Wigglewag includes behavioral training in their everyday services. Training in addition to providing your pet with the highest quality care makes Wigglewag the best choice for all of your pet sitting, dog boarding and dog walking needs!
Through exercise, discipline, affection and a structured environment, Wigglewag helps shape good dog behavior. Many clients have noticed their dogs are better behaved and more manageable after just a few days of service!
With more than 25 years combined experience, Wigglewag founders Cynthia and Nestor Escobar provide exceptional pet care services at an affordable price. Their unique approach focuses not only on the monitoring of your pets, but also on exercise, socialization and training.
Wigglewag wants you to be 100% satisfied and offers highly personalized services to achieve that goal. The staff at Wigglewag understands that each pet is unique and will customize services to provide a happy experience while you are away. Wigglewag maintains close communication with clients and can make adjustments to feeding schedules, medications, and other aspects of your pet’s care.
Wigglewag provides dog walking services in Pasadena and several nearby cities. A Wigglewag staff member will come to your home and take your dog for a long walk in your neighborhood or on one of their custom Doggie Adventures. Dogs are kept well hydrated, given plenty of potty breaks and return to you relaxed and happy.
Doggie Adventures are one of the unique services that make Wigglewag so uniquely awesome. About once a month, dogs are taken to a special dog friendly location for a day of fun in the sun! From hiking trips to beach excursions, Doggie Adventures are planned well in advance and attended by both Cynthia and Nes Escobar to ensure your pet has an enjoyable and safe trip.
24 hour, cage-free boarding is available at Wigglewag’s spacious Pasadena location. This safe and affordable alternative to leaving your dog home alone is a popular service with Wigglewag clients. Cynthia and Nes Escobar love their clients’ pets so much, they provide overnight accommodations for dogs of all sizes and ages in their own home.
Their beautiful, two-story house is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. Dogs are given plenty of exercise in the large play yard and receive daily walks. During their stay, dogs also work on their socialization skills with other dogs in a secure, controlled environment. The opportunity to spend time with a well balanced “pack” has helped many less socialized dogs gain confidence and learn to get along with other pets.
The Escobar’s home is also open for doggie daycare. Doggie daycare is perfect for clients with busy schedules or high energy breeds that need extra attention and playtime. Daycare is also a great place for young dogs to learn appropriate behavior and older dogs get the chance to brush up on their social skills.
